Under Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Khalid Bin Abdul-Aziz Al-Saud Governor of Aseer region and the Honorary President, SASMBS will held the Second International Conference under the title "Diabesity: A Threating Epidemic" in Abha, the capital city of Aseer region, Saudi Arabia, during the period of 7 th -9 th October, 2016.

During the conference, many themes will be discussed regarding prevention and management of Diabesity. They include, epidemiology of obesity as an emerging epidemic, preventive approaches to control obesity, evidence based recommendations to manage obesity, team based care of obese patients, economic aspects of obesity, and standardization surgical care of obesity in Saudi Arabia. This conference will be one important event which will help to exchange experience with international and national figure speakers with excellent experience in management of diabesity.

On the sidelines of the conference, many activities will be executed for public regarding obesity education and awareness including exhibitions and marathon race.

SASMBS welcomes all participants and invites all concerned people to submit their work in order to enrich the conference and to come up with practical recommendations to control and manage diabesity in the region.
